About

How the Visitation was born

Vidraria Madelustre was founded in 2008, 24 years after the creation of the company, in order to produce its own glass for lighting. From then on, Madelustre became the only lighting factory that has its own glassworks.

The Mundo do Vidro tour was inaugurated on September 2, 2016, with the encouragement of the Garibaldi Tourism Secretariat and people who wanted to know this fascinating method of glass production. Thus, seeking also to aggregate information about the history of glass and some curiosities, a material was made by glass scholars Valdir Ben and Giorgio Padovan, which is passed on to all drivers who visited the World of Glass tourist visit.

Phrase that inspires our service: “Remembering that we will be serving someone who, in the universe of their choices, on that day and moment, chose our attraction to be visited. Therefore, when you purchase something, we will not be delivering a package, a product, but an extension of your life experience at our establishment. You will take with you, with our hospitality, the best memory. ”

About

How Visitation happens

Tourist visit to the Glassworks Madelustre it is organized based on the search to add knowledge about the “world of glass” to those who visit it. Thus, the visitation takes place in two parts: (mini memorial and glassware).

The mini memorial discusses the history, composition and curiosities regarding the glass, such as the largest glass of sparkling wine in the world - recognized by the Guinness Book - have been produced by Madelustre Glassware (the bowl is exposed on the spot).

In glassmaking, the glass production process is followed, with a focus on the production of glass for lighting, the magic of glass transformation can occur in the techniques of breath, molded glass (piastra) or centrifuged, depending on the day of the visit.

There is also our store with products that show the production of Madelustre, be it in decorative pieces, such as lighting, which is the company's operating segment.

We recommend visiting for those who like history, chemistry and discovering more about something that is so common for everyone, but it can still be fascinating. The visitation pleases all audiences, from children who are excited to see a “modeling clay” create shape, to elderly people who say “I am touched, in my whole life I did not know how glass was produced, how wonderful!”.

Come with time, with doubts and willingness to learn, we would love to receive you!
